suppose a penny stock has been around for awhile?

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010

I have several penny stocks, 2 of which have been around for over a year, lots of people tell me to get rid of them because they tend to go up a bit and then when the sellers have thier price met, it all goes away. I don’t claim to know too much about stocks but the ones I have are going up and news comes out about them at least once a week. Usually new things that are happening with the company. Is there in fact a time element that dictates whether or not a stock is for real?

Some are reputable firms, some are not. Some are start up firms, some are in bankruptcy. The time element aspect is difficult to address without knowing which stocks you are referring to. I would contact investor relations (if available) to do some research.

If the price of the stock is trading for more than you paid for it, it’s for real. Remember, buy low, sell high. Works for me.

I suggest you to buy “The Sopranos” on DVD and you will know exactly how penny stocks work.
